On the 19th and 20th August, ten of our property management team members attended the Australasian Residential Property Management conference (ARPM).  This premier event is the largest specialist property management event in Australasia, attracting leading real estate property managers and business owners alike, from all states of Australia and New Zealand.  Our team shared valuable insights from a broad range of keynote speakers and industry specialists – further enhancing our offering of skills and expertise in the management of properties for our investors.  They also reviewed new products designed to assist in our service delivery – through a wide variety of exhibitions, while enjoying the opportunity to network with other leading agents. 

One of the key takeaways for our team around self-realisation was the quote “Don’t let a bad moment turn into a bad day.” Also on the importance of presenting yourself in a positive and professional manner in the workplace. This was referring to each person’s  “emotional wake” – the impact we, as individuals, have on the rest of the team and even our family and friends.

One of the teams favourite speakers from the weekend was Colin James, who spoke about the Professional Employee and the role of communication and leadership. Colin James is one of Australia’s leading corporate speakers with over 25 years experience working with senior executives around the world.

Our team thoroughly enjoyed the two day conference – coming away with an array of additional knowledge and skills to further enhance our service delivery; new programs and products to implement into our workflow and a myriad of ideas for future team training and growth.  Our director of property management, Lyn Kimball, found that a number of best practice methods presented by industry leaders at the conference were already in operation with Fitzpatricks high performing property management team.  This is the result of our continual quest for knowledge, systems and processes to train and implement – that deliver sound and cutting-edge property management services to our clients.
