Food tenants continue to be attracted to Wagga’s main street with Fitzpatricks PCI Commercial leasing the shop at the front of the Baylis Centre to Western Australian franchise company Pasta Cup. This represents the companies first venture outside of Western Australia, with well know local businessman Jason Pearce opening the store next week.

This follows the recent opening of ‘Carvin it Up’ next door, who are receiving raving reviews and have been extremely busy with their roast meat concept.

In the Marketplace block, another national franchise is set to open with their burger concept further strengthening this area after the renovations and opening of Beer Deluxe last year.

The operators of the renowned Cache restaurant have also expanded their operations, with the opening of the appropriately named ‘Carlo’s’ in the new office development at 193-195 Morgan Street. With an amazing high end fit out and great coffee it should be well supported by the office workers above.

Everyone has been eagerly awaiting the opening of Giuseppe’s in the former Thirsty Crow Brewery site in Kincaid Street. With a capacity for approximately 198 people, this restaurant will certainly draw a crowd, complimenting the existing food and beverage outlets in Fitzmaurice Street.

Fitzpatricks PCI Commercial have been receiving enquiries from a number of external food operators looking to set up shop in town with this being a strong indication of the strength of the main street market and Wagga’s attraction to external investors.

Current vacancies suited for food operations are the former Big Bite shop at 96 Fitzmaurice Street, downstairs 24 Fitzmaurice Street (the former location of the iconic Lum Inn). Unit 2/80 Baylis Street would also be well suited to a food concept.
