Research shows that there will soon be a greater demand for houses as those who reside in apartments move to the next stage in their life.
The report shows that the trend towards apartment living in Australia may ease over the next 10 years as those aged 20 to 34 (the age bracket of those who have been the main apartment occupants over the last 10 years) begin to settle down and look for houses.
Based on census data from the past 20 years, the report also states that the preference from all age groups to live in units and apartments will continue the demand over the next decade but overall it will stabilise.
